One of the best and free image viewers around the net

There are many free and paid Image viewers around the net and there are many public favorites like ACDsee; yet I have not found any image viewer more useful than FastStone image viewer . Every standard feature you would expect from a good image browser is there. It has a browser, slideshow with option to configure transitions and background music etc. Right click context menu to browse images in a folder, screen capture, image compare, batch conversion, multi-image collage  etc.

The part where it becomes better than other browsers is its full screen image viewer. The browser has thumbnail views but the viewer is by default a real full screen viewer with no title bar or any other menu bar covering the screen. Its really fast to open the viewer as it is very light weight. With the full screen viewer you can move to edges of screen to open different toolbars if required. On top you will get a mini gallery showing thumbnails of other images in same folder and you can use scroll wheel to quickly browse through all images. At bottom are zoom tools. On right is image information and on left are image editing tools like crop, resize, format, red eye removal etc. The interface is really good and it greatly increases speed of going through large image collection.

Two things that can be improved in it are option to upload images to image uploading sites and secondly to allow organizing photos into virtual albums like picasa. Other than that this is the most feature packed image viewer which is both fast, good looking and best of all its completely free.
