Except, of course, the iPad.
Asus EeePad Transformer has been a terrific success. The tablet which can be plugged into an optional keyboard for a notebook like experience has ringed well with consumers, so much as to cause Asus to ramp up its production in May.
On Friday, Asus CEO Jerry Shen confirmed that the trend will continue in June as well, with the company expected to ship 300,000 units of its Transformer – a shipment figure more than any other tablet in the market, besides Apple’s iPad of course.
Shen also noted that the company had already shipped 400,000 units in April and May.
Asus EeePad Transformer was launched on June 2nd in the UAE and retails at AED 1,899.
