And here we were waiting for the second generation tabs to come out…
While we wait to have our hands on the Galaxy Tab 8.9″ and 10.1″, Samsung’s mobile head is already talking of the next generation of tablets and smartphones.
In an interview with Newswires, Samsung boss J.K. Shin said that the Korean company plans to release a 4G LTE-equipped version Galaxy Tab tablet later this year. A new Galaxy S is also planned, presumably dubbed Galaxy S III, with a launch window in the first half of 2012.
“The 4G race has already begun. All carriers are coping with high data traffic with the availability of tablets and without 4G service, it will become increasingly difficult to cope, ” he said.
Shin also commented on the ongoing lawsuit battle with Apple, saying that he was confident of the outcome.
“We have used many similar designs over the past years and it [Apple's allegation] will not be legally problematic.”
