Nokia drops to no. 2 position after loosing 10 percent market share.

Not a good read if you are a Nokia lover but the facts must be told be it bitter or pleasant. According to the research firm IDC, Nokia has lost is top rank to Samsung in the smartphone market in the Western Europe.

This comes as a big shock since we are talking about Western Europe, which is like home soil for the Finlanders. Samsung reached the top of the cell phone mountain by having a higher market share of 29 percent. Nokia saw its market share dropped by 10 percent and currently stands at 28 percent.

According to the IDC analyst, Samsung reached this landmark simply because they were fast enough to understand the emerging trends. Can Nokia get back the spot which it had held since 1990? Share your thoughts with us in the comment section.
