Microsoft may unveil new divisions and branding of its ailing Zune services.
We are not to sure of what will happen to Zune, with some suggesting that its hardware platform is entirely dead. However, Microsoft had confirmed that the Zune is very much alive, and at least its services have remained in tact, although news from that section is pretty mum. However, we might see some announcements at the Windows Phone “Mango” event tomorrow, with popular news leaker MS_Nerd of Twitter suggesting that the services will be divided and re-branded.
“@manan @clubdirthill Wee little rumor seeping out now: Zune next to be split into Xbox mobile, Xbox Live & Windows Live Zune on the 24th.
And the Zune backend platform will become a “Nokia services on Azure” offering, with content from Netflix, Last.fm & Hulu among others.”
