Apple vice president claims the Great White is not thicker than the normal version despite visual proof.
Twitting Apple vice president Phil Schiller is turning out to be the second best option to receiving emails of harsh and sarcastic one-liners from Steve Jobs – not that Schiller is faring well on those.
After yesterday’s claim that the white iPhone 4 was slightly bit thicker than the normal version, Twitter user Ernesto Barron pinged Schiller on his opinion on the matter. Instead of ‘@’ing on the public channel, Schiller decided to direct message Barron, possibly thinking that the message would not be made public. Guess what just happened?
Yeah, it got out. 9to5Mac were allowed to login into Barron’s Twitter account to verify that the message from Schiller was authentic. In response to Barron’s query, Schiller outright denied that the white iPhone 4 was thicker despite overwhelming visual proof that it indeed was.
“It is not thicker, don’t believe all the junk that you read” the direct message said.
Unless the camera added its share of “20 pounds” to the white iPhone 4, we have to step ahead and call ‘you are wrong, sir’ on Phil Schiller here.
