iPad, iPhone not really popular camera devices

Flickr stats shows poor numbers for iPad and iPhone camera snaps.

Contrary to popular belief, iPhone and iPads do not make up to be popular camera choices. At least, that’s what the latest stats from Flickr tells us.

As reported by Electricpig, out of 40 million daily Flickr users, only 22 have used iPad to click and post their pictures. The iPhone  fared slightly better, although the larger install base certainly accounts for that. Of the total numbers, 4391 users have snapped pictures using an iPhone 4, 3316 users have used iPhone 3G and 1949 users have the iPhone 3GS.

To be honest, I am quite surprised the iPhone 4 numbers are less. The device carries a pretty competent camera if used properly.

How is 4,391 only marginally better than 22? Also, in another report only out last month, the iPhone 4 is about to be the most popular camera used on flickr.

Ah yes, as I thought, if you check the title of the article you linked, it only says iPads are unpopular as cameras, not iPhones, which makes more sense seeing that iPads are tablets. I think that’s what the article was trying to imply, which totally makes sense.
