Hands-on with the BlackBerry Bold 9900

This is my next Smartphone.

I got a chance to play around with the upcoming BlackBerry Bold 9900 later in the summer and I gotta say- this is going to be my next device. RIM is finally utilizing hardware acceleration so scrolling through emails and moving through web pages suddenly becomes a lot more smoother- or as RIM likes to put it, the Liquid Graphics.

As you can see from the video above, the device is certainly very zippy. I did manage to crash the unit towards the end, but that’s because it’s running beta software at the moment. Even though, the device not only performs phenomenally well but also feels really good in your hand. The slick form factor and the premium materials used in the construction give the Bold 9900 an awesome look and feel.

The screen is also brilliant with a high PPI while the back cover is removable for changing batteries.
