New pan-city site offers 50-90% discount to travelers.

Press release:
Shoppers on the Middle East’s original group buying website GoNabit.com can now broaden their travel horizons with the launch of GoNabit Getaways, a new pan-city site dedicated to bringing regional and international holiday deals to Nabbers in and outside of the region.

The announcement was made during Arabian Travel Market (ATM) to showcase the emerging online retail opportunity for travel merchants in this region. This topic will be further explored on day three of ATM by Dan Stuart, CEO and Co-founder of GoNabit.com, at a panel discussion on how the internet is changing the retail travel landscape.

The introduction of GoNabit’s new business vertical is in direct response to the immense popularity of its recent holiday-related deals and online shopper sentiment gathered from research commissioned by GoNabit in partnership with YouGov Siraj. The research findings, published in March, indicate that 90% of respondents are likely to buy air tickets or holidays online in the next 12 months, confirming a significant demand in this sector.

“We’re offering something completely new to the online travel industry in the Middle East by simplifying the discovery process of a fantastic travel experience and providing a convenient and secure way to purchase it,” said Dan Stuart, CEO and Co-founder of GoNabit.com.

GoNabit Getaways is the company’s first pan-city website, offering deals ranging from hotel stays and vouchers with online travel merchants, to all inclusive travel packages. Presenting shoppers with a great way to easily plan and pay for holidays online, while discovering new destinations and experiences, GoNabit expects the new Getaways website will prove immensely popular with its Nabber community.

“We’ve seen great consumer interest in our holiday-related deals so far. We recently ran a deal with Banyan Tree Al Wadi, selling over $350,000 of room nights in less than four days through our e-commerce platform. This kind of popularity, combined with the fact that 90% of our Nabbers plan to buy holidays online in the next 12 months, led us to create GoNabit Getaways.

So far our city deals have been focused on allowing Nabbers to save and discover on their home turf. Our deals have become a great way to get more out of your city. Now we’ve gone out and sourced some fantastic travel deals that help consumers take a well deserved break around the corner or overseas, while still getting the great savings people have come to expect from us. In short, we take the hassle out of finding a great deal on a holiday in an excellent location. We source the package, people nab it and hopefully, relax,” added Stuart.

For hotels and other travel-related merchants looking for new ways to promote their business, GoNabit Getaways offers an exciting proposition.

“GoNabit Getaways is attracting a captive subscriber base; people are signing up because they are interested in discovering new travel destinations, hotels and activities. The spotlight we provide for businesses combined with the ease of purchase for buyers makes GoNabit Getaways an easy way for travel merchants to capitalise on the real customer creation, social media buzz and brand awareness that a GoNabit partnership provides,” said Sohrab Jahanbani, COO and CO-founder, GoNabit.com.

“We’ll continue to work with our merchants to structure deals that are based on a solid understanding of their business requirements. The aim of GoNabit Getaways is to offer travel merchants a tool to promote their business and generate new customers from this highly targeted audience of subscribers,” added Jahanbani.
