Bloatware free Gingerbread for HTC Desire HD leaked.

Firmware leakages have become part and parcel of the Android world not that we complain. What has leaked out this time is the obvious question. And here is the pleasant answer. Final version of Gingerbread intended for the proud HTC Desire HD owners has escaped from HTC’s safe house and is now in the wilds of the Internet ready to land on the gigantic Android phone.

The best thing about this leak is that it’s an unbranded one meaning you don’t need to worry about the useless bloatware apps that you get from your carrier with each update. Before you try to mount this ROM on your handset, bear in mind that you need to take the backup of your important phone data and apps. Flashing this ROM means you will lose the root status of your HTC Desire HD. But you can always get it back using Gingerbreak.

Remember this flash ROM is risky business and is not for the faint hearted. Proceed only if you know what you are doing. If this is too risky for you, wait for the official release which seems to be just around the corner.

Hi, i understand you dont need to be rooted in order to do this update. Does this mean it will get rid of all my Telus bloatware? Any special steps i have to take during install?
