Microsoft Security Essentials comes at the bottom.
If you ask any technology enthusiasts to name a ‘good’ and ‘free’ Antivrius, he or she may most like to guide you Microsoft Security Essentials, the Remond’s free AV suite that has been gaining popularity for its sleek yet simple interface and system performance. However, in terms of protection, it may not be the best, in fact, maybe the worst.
A recent test conducted by folks at AVTest saw the popular antivirus tool coming at second last, just above the lesser known CA: Internet Security Suite. Topping the list was BitDefender Internet Security Suite, BullGuard and F-Secure, each of them gaining protection points above 5.5 (out of 6). BitDefender scored full marks.
