Users find on-the-lap content access more appealing.

A mobile-centric survey from Google has revealed that users are increasingly preferring tablets over PCs or televisions to access or watch content.

About 1,430 participants were surveyed and the results show the scale of impact mobile devices like tablet-PC are having on how one consumes content on a daily basis. The survey found that:

- 68% of tablet users spend at least 1 hour a day on their tablet

- 77% of respondents report that their desktop/laptop usage decreased after they started using a tablet

- 82% of respondents said they primarily use their tablet at home

- More than 1 in 3 respondents uses their tablet more than they watch TV

As Internet packages become more accessible worldwide, and working tools get more touch-friendly, there is no question that these numbers will increase further in the future.
