“We have no choice but respond strongly.”
Samsung has responded to Apple’s latest game of lawsuit-ing, and as you may have guessed, they are not happy one bit.
“Samsung will respond actively to this legal action taken against us through appropriate legal measures to protect our intellectual property,” a Samsung spokesman said, according to The Register.
Apple had launched a salvo of attack against Samsung earlier this week, accusing the Korean electronics giant of “blatantly” lifting hardware and software designs from its iPhone mobile device.
Samsung now appears to be highly annoyed, so much so that its hard to miss the subtle bit of threat when an unidentified Samsung official said, “Apple is one of our key buyers of semiconductors and display panels. However, we have no choice but respond strongly this time.”
In addition, Samsung spokesman Chung Jae-woong told Korea’s Yonhap News Agency that, “we think Apple has violated our patents in communications standards. We are considering a counterclaim.”
And so the cat and mouse game begins.
