News TVs and Cameras lead the showcase of Panasonic’s upcoming products.
Besides displays, Panasonic had a range of new cameras as well. Three interested me in particular. First up, is the video camera modeled HDC HS-900 that has an attachable 3D lens along with 220GB built-in storage in the form of a hard drive that can allow 94 hours of recording. When the 3D Conversion Lens is attached, the HS-900 produces an effect called visual disparity where right and left images are captured simultaneously by the two lenses, and recorded using the side-by-side method. The following video shows some aspects of the HS-900 which is priced at AED 4,999.
On the still side, Panasonic showed their GH2 as well as the upcoming TZ20 and FT3. The TZ20 is a foliow up to the TZ10 which I felt was the best super zoom point’n'shoot for its time. The updated TZ20 is priced at AED 1,799 and has a 24mm Ultra Wide-Angle Powerful 16x Optical Zoom LEICA DC Lens which can take shots at 14.1MegaPixels or record videos at 1920 x 1,080 Full-HD in the AVCHD Format. If you’re more of an outdoor person, then FT3, priced at AED 1,799, is probably the better option for you. It has a GPS, an altimeter, a depth indicator, a compass, a barometer and goes 12 meters under water, and resists 2 meter falls. Check out both these cameras
So there you have it- some pretty cool new toys that Panasonic launched at their media event. We’ve picked our favorites and showcased them for you in the videos above but feel free to comment if there is anything in particular that you want more info on.
