Using MSI Afterburner, I was able to achieve 850Mhz on the Core clock and 1200MHz on the Memory speeds. That’s almost a 10% increase in Core and 20% increase in Memory clock speeds.

Once again, the IceQ X cooler ensured completely silent operation while maintain the temperature at 36°C on idle and 62°C under load.

The HIS IceQ X HD 6850 definitely lives up to tradition by providing a cooler and quieter card. While at stock speeds the card isn’t much to gloat about, the easily achieved overclocking performance is certainly what makes this card worth so much more. The small premium over regular HD 6850 (roughly $15) is completely justified given the performance and operations of the HIS IceQ X HD 6850, making ti one of the best HD 6850s on the market.
