Runs cool, performs hot.

Good: High overclocking headroom, IceQ X heatsink keeps it very quiet and cool, Pleasant heatsink design
Bad: Nothing really
Price: AED 699

For testing the HIS IceQ X HD 6850 I used our resident Tbreak testbed PC. This little monster comprises of an Intel Core i7-2600K, Kingston HyperX T1 4GB DDR3-2200MHz memory, Gigabyte P67A-UD7 motherboard, WD VelociRaptor 300GB HDD with Windows 7 Ultimate running on it; all of which is powered by a Cooler Master 1200W Silent Pro Gold PSU. For comparisons I have used the GTX 560 Ti, the HD 6870 and the GTX 550 Ti.

The HIS IceQ X HD 6850 provides stock HD 6850 performance, and as such the only remarkable feat here is its performance for the price. The HD 6870 may show slightly more, but is also $20 to $30 more. The GTX 560 Ti is ridiculously overpriced with $60 more, while the meek GTX 550 Ti is $50 less. The benefit the HIS IceQ X HD 6850 is dead silent operation compared to all the other cards, and extremely cool temperatures, with idle at 35°C and load going up to 61°C.
