Facebook page appeals users to ‘sit in’ the protest.

After receiving a backlash from the community for bringing down the Playstation Network, hacker group Anonymous are now resorting to other means to get their point across to Sony.

A Facebook page, created by sub-group Operation Sony under a username John Smith (default placeholder for most email clients like Outlook), is appealing to fans and users to join in an in-store protest around various Sony outlets in the world. So far, 1,241 people have claimed they will attend the protest. The Facebook page lists locations of stores in Canada, US, Australia, Finland, Philippines, New Zealand, etc. It also asks users to submit locations of Sony outlets not mentioned in the list.

However, it is not clear what one is supposed to do at the protest? Does one just…’sit in’?

Anybody feel this is getting a bit ridiculous?
