The nightmare doesn’t stop for Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 team. After troubleshooting through the ‘brick’ bug that plagued Samsung phones, and struggling to push out the system’s first real update, the team now has another major problem on their hands.
Some Windows Phone 7 users are reporting a very peculiar bug on their device that has their local contacts duplicate, for no apparent reason as Long Zheng of istartedsomething.com points out.
Zheng says that only contacts that are stored on the phones locally are affected – Gmail or Windows Live contacts seem to doing fine. Removing one or more of the duplicate contacts has no impact on the remaining extras.
As of now, only a small part of WP7 users have reported this issue though its likely that more reports will come by as the day progresses.
