Is this the new Win 8 theme for low-spec PCs?

It’s not mystery that Microsoft is currently busy working on Windows 8. Apparently, the company is also working on a new ‘Aero Lite’ theme for low-spec PCs to run the operating system without a hitch.

mswin.me has leaked an image that shows some of the elements of the new, light-weight theme. The image shows the back, forward, close, minimize, expand, help and several other redesigned icons. The theme is being written in Microsoft’s Metro design language, originally meant for user interface design work on Zune and Windows Media Center.

As mentioned earlier, the theme is meant for low-end PCs, and will most likely appear on notebooks and laptops. Win 7 also features a ‘light’ theme that has the visual effects of the Aero theme turned off. We wonder if this theme will finally see the end of Windows’ ‘classic’ theme used in Win 95.
