Transferring files

The Sansa Fuze+ plays most types of sound files and is great with most standard picture and video files. Don’t expect it to play any DivX files though. You’ll have to convert the videos to a suitable format before you can play it on the Sansa.
Transferring files is pretty easy. You can either put them on a microSD card or simply use the Micro USB connector to hook it up to a PC and drag and drop files into folders appropriately marked music, audio, video, etc. In terms of file types, here’s what the Sansa Fuze+ supports:

Audio: MP3, WMA, WAV, AAC/M4A (DRM-free iTunes songs), FLAC, Ogg Vorbis, Audible, Secure WMA, Podcasts
Video: H.264, MPEG-4, WMV, Flip Video

In terms of performance, the Sansa is definitely a winner. Not only does it do a great job in playing music and videos, it also great battery life. The Sansa Fuze+ can go up to 24 hours on audio alone and up to 5 hours on video in a single charge.

The earphones that come with the Sansa leave a lot to be desired. That’s pretty standard with most MP3 players though and you will want to budget to get a decent set of earphones to get the best experience out of the Sansa.

Not an iPod beater by any means but if you want an affordable MP3 player that comes bundled with a load of features, it’ll be hard to find a device better than the Sansa Fuze+. Great battery life, excellent touch controls, more features than you shake a stick at and a price tag that won’t leave you stealing the bank makes this an excellent buy in our books.

Can it bookmark? Specifically the Secure WMA? I need a new Audiobook device, and have not seen anything for this item on that feature…
