Apple maybe cranking out a new iOS version sooner than we think.
Apple has not even pushed the iOS 4.3 update out the door that rumors of the next full-numbered version of the operating system have already started doing the rounds.
According to Pocketnow, iOS 5.0 will be unveiled soon in a press event in the first half of April this year. Improved multi-tasking and notifications are on the cards for the new update, along with a free version of Apple’s cloud-based storage service MobileME. MobileME allows users to upload files, images, videos and other data nothings onto Apple’s cloud server and can be accessed on any PC around the world. Cloud-based music streaming service for iTunes is also rumored. However, it’s not clear if Apple will be willing to cut down on the $99 price tag entirely or provide a ‘lite’ version of sorts.
A cloud service offering from Apple could pose serious threats to one of Google Android’s strongest tools against Apple. It will be interesting times, next month.
