Do we really need 3d?

Good: Slim design, Subtle styling, Decent performance
Bad: Irritating line polarized LCD panel, Bad 3D playback
Price: AED 3,500

So enough about the specs, see how well the CX620 3D performs in our benchmarks. I have used similarly pried and specced HP dv6 and Lenovo Edge for comparisons.

While the CX620 3D benefits from the Core i5-460M in both Passmark and Winrar, the HD 5470 is good enough for light gaming. On low settings I managed to squeeze out 40fps (on average using FRAPS) on StarCraft II. I must admit that the 2GB of ram severely limits to capabilities of this machine, where often simple things such as loading Firefox or even Word felt a little laggy. Of course, this did affect StarCraft II as well, but I believe the HDD also had a lot to do with that.

From auditing to editing, I now test and analyze the latest gadgets and games instead of the latest financial statements. Both jobs are equally intense and rewarding. When I'm not burning up hardware in the name of science, you'll find me nuking in DOTA 2 or engineering in TF2.
