Local electronics store confirms stock on launch day, does not reveal price.
While the iPad 2 fever is likely to take over the country when it launches in the US on 11th of this month, Jacky’s Electronics has waved in first and confirmed that it will have stocks of Apple’s new magical device from the 12th onwards.
“We expect our first shipments to leave the US from March 12th onwards and they should reach us towards the latter part of next week but this is all tentative at this stage. All products are compatible for this region as was the case with the original iPad,” Ashish Panjabi, chief operating officer, Jacky’s Electronic, tells AMEinfo.com.
Panjabi did not reveal the price at which the store will sell the iPad 2 for, though he mentions that the price will get affected by import costs and warranties issues with the US version. If we read between the lines, we all know what that means!
He also assured that the store will continually look for other sources to import Apple’s device from.
“For now since the US has stocks on March 11th onwards, we buy from there. As other markets start to get stocks on March 25th onwards, we’ll consider those options as well,” Panjabi states.
Any guesses on the prices?
