Despite production setbacks, iPad 2 will be made available internationally as planned.
When the disaster struck Japan, it was rumored that iPad 2′s production would receive several setbacks as the companies who produces the screen and battery packs for the tablet took damages following the earthquake and the tsunami. However, it seems the international shipment schedule for the device remains unaffected as Apple has announced that the iPad 2 will be available on March 25th as planned.
The WiFi-only iPad 2 will be available in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK on March 25 and in Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore and additional countries in April.
To the know price of the iPad 2, users can refer to their country’s Apple online store. iPad 2 WiFi-only is priced $499, $599 and $699 for the 16GB, 32Gb and 64GB version in the USA.
