Google gives its self-driving car out for a ride

A passenger of Goggle’s self-driving car records his experience on camera.


How would you react if you were being driven around in a car that drove itself? We reckon it would be pretty similar (and in my case, much more profane-induced) to this YouTube user who recorded the entire ‘ride’ in Google’s self-driving car when he was given a chance at TED this year.

The car uses cameras, radar sensors and a laser range to to “see” traffic and objects on the road. Google hasn’t specified what it plans to do with this tech, though we envision a similar future as shown by umpteen Hollywood movies over the years. Check out the tech in action below.
