“Don’t get your hopes up” for iPad 2.
A daring Apple staffer has dropped a hype dampener ahead of the iPad 2′s unveiling by saying that the second tablet will just be a minor upgrade, and that iPad 3 is the one to make all the fuss about.
The unnamed staffer said, “For the iPad 2 don’t get your hopes up too high. That’s all I’m going to say. “They’ve had a number of problems along the way, and the third-generation iPad is the one to make a song and a dance about.”
iPad 2 is rumored to have a front camera, a slimmer, lighter case and faster CPU, however, detailed specifications over the hardware and software has largely remained either conflicted or unknown. The Apple employee did not give any hints as to when the iPad 3 will be releasing, though there have been strong rumors that it makes it way later this year. Typically, Apple only releases single hardware revisions of its iOS devices every year, so to release a third iPad immediately after the second one would go completely against how the company has been functioning over these years.
iPad 2 is set to be unveiled today at a special Apple conference. The event will start at 10pm UAE time (10am Pacific)
