Line-up from TI is to feature two high-performance and two low-power cores.

While Nvidia released their road-map for 2011, TI is already planning all the way till next year. In its press release released yesterday, it announced its latest OMAP 5 platform. We may still be waiting for the release of the OMAP 4 but boy do these little processors sound impressive.

Two of them are Cortex A-15 cores, the fastest cores ARM has to offer with both running at a clock-speed of 2GHz. The performance of the A-15′s is said to be at least 50 percent better than current generation A-9′s. Other processors announced in the line up include low power consumption processors which will aim to improve device responsiveness. The insane bit is that the platform is said to be able to support up to four cameras operating at the same time, offer 3D playback, recording, and 2D up-sampling to 3D at 1080p resolution, and control up to 8GB of RAM.
