Swype shows PC app using Wiimote

Possible on many platforms- just a matter of getting it official.

Swype is one of the coolest application on the Android platform. It allows you to use the soft keyboard by sliding your fingers across the screen instead of tapping. The software is very clever at recognizing which letter you want to enter and I was impressed with my limited testing a few months back.

AT MWC 2011, they were demonstrating Swype for different platforms and the PC version was being showcased using a Wiimote. Check out the video of it in action.

I asked the guys at Swype if this was possible for the Sony PlayStation Move or Microsoft Kinect and they found no reason why it couldn’t work. In fact, they have a working model on the iPhone as well and basically just need the blessings of the above mentioned parties to bring Swype to their platforms.
