Samsung’s Orion Sheds its Codename

Will now be known as ‘Exynos’

The Hummingbird processor had a formidable successor, the Orion. Or so we thought. It seems, that the Orion has been it’s codename all along. A code name which has now been shed to make way for the (slightly sci-fi sounding) new name: The Exynos 4210.

Samsung’s new processor line was scheduled to hit production early this year and it seems they’re right on schedule with production beginning next month. This of course means we could be hearing some awfully juicy dual core news from the Samsung folks come MWC next week.
