Quick chat with Dr. Firouz Naderi from NASA

Get a little insight into NASA’s tech.

PAN Emirates Group is starting a new initiative, called Think It Big, where emphasis is being put on new business ideas from inspiring entrepreneurs and the like. This is in the face of the still lingering global recession that hit over 2 years ago. As such it’s not surprising to see PAN Emirates, a furniture company in UAE, to try and break into different sectors. And what better way to break into new territories than start up a new business every 120 days from the creative young minds of the country.

To get things started, PAN Emirates Group invited Dr. Firouz Naderi from NASA to give an inspirational speech at the Dubai Women’s College yesterday where over 1200 people (mostly high school students) gathered together to find out what it takes to reach the stars.

Obviously there was no way we’d miss this chance to see one of NASA’s most distinguished scientist talk about all kinds of technical and philosophical things about space exploration in person. While his whole speech was only for the ears of those lucky enough to be present, I did manage to ask him a few questions just as everybody was rushing in to shake hands/ take photos with the good doctor.

Apologies in advance for the low audio, but that’s why we all have that audio slider to turn up for in the systray!

About

From auditing to editing, I now test and analyze the latest gadgets and games instead of the latest financial statements. Both jobs are equally intense and rewarding. When I'm not burning up hardware in the name of science, you'll find me nuking in DOTA 2 or engineering in TF2.
