Stores saw lines of up to 2000 people

While many may be in two minds about buying the latest Nintendo 3DS due to it’s price and a wariness to embrace 3D technology, according to Engadget it seems the Japanese consumers have none of those worries.

When the 3DS went online for pre-order sales about a month ago, it was sold out in an extremely short span of time so it’s no surprise to see the actual stock itself sell out so quickly. The entire shipment constituted 400,000 units of the latest offering from Nintendo and evidently that wasn’t enough. The entire shipment was sold out on the first day alone with some stores seeing lines of people extending to 2000 persons.

Suffice to say the 3DS seems to be selling well.
