Rupert Murdoch, known famously for his role as the News Corp chairman, has just launched the first and currently only tablet only news daily. The iPad-only magazine, titled ‘The Daily’, is said to offer “the best of traditional journalism” and “the best of contemporary technology”.

The Daily is priced at $39.99 a year or $0.99 per week and is said to also include an audio version. The interface is very similar  to a regular e-book enabling users to flip through it like a normal magazine. There is also a ‘Carousel’ view, which gives you a birds eye view of sorts. Users can also share stories on social media platforms such as twitter and facebook where fellow socialites will be able to read the posts.

The Daily is now available at the App Store
