Cant touch this as far as specs are concerned.

Motorola introduced their extremely powerful Atrix Smartphone at CES this year however the launch event for Dubai was held earlier today. In a nutshell, the Motorola Atrix is the most powerful Android based Smartphone you can think of  as far as specs are concerned. It has a 4″ screen with 960×540 resolution which is the highest I’ve seen in an Android device. Add to that the 1.0Ghz dual-core Tegra 2 processor with 1GB RAM and a 1930mAh battery and you have a device that has plenty of power with plenty of juice. Even more awesome is the finger scanner on the back side that unlocks the phone.

If that is not enough, then the docks that Motorola is releasing for it will certainly make you notice. The multimedia dock provides a full-sized HDMI port as well as three powered USB 2.0 ports allowing you to carry your hi-def movies on a USB stick or drive with you and connecting the dock to a hotel room to watch your videos while travelling suddenly becomes easier.

Even more awesome is the Laptop Dock that has a keyboard, mouse, display and batteries to use the Atrix as an almost full-fledged laptop. When the Atrix is docked on the back as you can see in the picture above, the phone gets charged so even after a full seven hour usage of the laptop dock, you can walk away with a fully charged device. I got a chance to play around with the Atrix and the laptop dock- please do excuse the slightly shaky video as I had the flip in one hand while filming the Atrix in the other hand.

You can clearly see why Atrix is receiving the attention that it is- it’s not only an extremely powerful Smartphone but the accessories available for it make it so much more. The 4000 ms score that it produced in Sun Spider benchmark is super fast. For comparison, the Nexus One running Android 2.2 takes 5600ms while the HTC Desire Z takes almost 8000ms.

The Motorola Atrix will be available in the Middle East by the end of Q2. We don’t have a price on it yet but will certainly keep you updated and hopefully have a review for you around launch time.
