Images from leaked Best Buy Ad put a pricey tag on the upcoming Motorola Xoom.
Want a tablet with a dual-core processor, Nvidia graphics, 1 Gigabyte of RAM and HD video recording? Well, be prepared to shell out 800 dollars (Around 2900 Dhs) for the Motorola Xoom. Not enough? It doesn’t even come with Wi-Fi activated. All this, of course, if this recent leaked Best Buy Ad is to believed.
Now you might go on and say that the 64Gb iPad costs more but the critical factor there is that you had the option of buying a cheaper option. The Motorolla Xoom doesn’t seem to give consumers that option. True it’s much more powerful than the iPad but at what cost? many will simply opt to buy the iPad instead, a choice many have made even with the Galaxy Tab.
Regarding the locked down Wi-Fi, the leaked Best Buy Ad read:
“To activate WiFi functionality on this device, a minimum of one month data subscription is required.”
The guys over at Engadget and Gizmodo both seem to agree that this means the Wi-Fi is pretty much locked down. Bummer.
