Microsoft decides to stop pushing WP7 updates to Samsung smartphones following major technical issues.
Earlier this week, Microsoft had started pushing a ‘base-update’ for its Windows Phone 7 smartphones that would prepare the device for the upcoming NoDo update. However, as soon as the update was released, users of Samsung WP7 phones reported major problems with the device, with some device locking down during update or getting ‘bricked’. Following the issue, Microsoft announced that it has stopped pushing updates to Samsung mobiles till it can resolve the problem.
“In response to this emerging issue, we have temporarily taken down the latest software update for Samsung phones in order to correct the issue,” wrote a Microsoft spokesperson to tech site Winrumors.
A Microsoft Support employee had said the company would roll out an update with three days.
