INQ CEO: Android too geeky for pretty girls

Pretty girls don’t have any “emotional attachment” with Android.

The next time you go to a night bar and try to strut off your spanking new Galaxy S, don’t be surprised if pretty girls seem nonchalant about it. Because according to INQ boss Frank Meehan, it’s just too complicated for them.

“If you go to a nightclub in any city in the world, the pretty girl has an iPhone or a BlackBerry. She doesn’t have an Android phone. She has no emotional attachment to an Android phone. It’s too complicated. It’s a geek device, it’s all wrong.”

Of course, there is a bit of truth to this. Android is certainly not a platform that will be instantly accessible to the non-techie among us unlike the iPhone, but to specifically signal out a gender on generalization is completely uncalled for. We really didn’t need to know you were sexist, Mr. Meehan.
