In the steps of its elder brother.

Good: Great performer compared to HD 6970, Runs very cool despite the overclock
Bad: Does get noisier than stock GTX 570
Price: AED 1,750

Last week we looked at the Zotac GTX 580 AMP! Edition, which turned out to be not such a compelling reason to spend the extra bit of cash, let’s see whether the GTX 570 AMP! Edition will fare any better.

The GTX 570 AMP! Edition comes with an increased core clock of 780MHz (up from reference speeds of 732MHz) and Memory core of 2000MHz (up from reference speeds of 1900MHz). That’s about 6.5% core clock and 5.2% memory clock speed increase. ….price increase….

So let’s take a look at the GTX 570 AMP! Edition; as you’ve rightly deduced, there’s nothing much to look at here. The AMP! Editions look exactly like their normal (non-overclocked) counterparts as the heatsink remains the same. Save for the dragon on the cover sticker of course. Let’s find out if this dragon actually breathes fire or is just full of steam.
