Calls him a great entrepreneur.
At the Golden Globe Awards last night, The Social Network makers were almost apologetic to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg for portraying him as a self-centered, arrogant, backstabbing jerk during their acceptance speeches after the movie won for Best Screenplay, Best Director, Best Score, and Best Picture.
“I want to thank everybody at Facebook; Mark Zuckerberg for his willingness to allow us to use his life and work as a metaphor through which to tell a story about communication and the way we relate to each other.” said producer Scott Rudin.
Screenwriter Aaron Sorkin calls the prediction made in the beginning of the movie false, which said that the only reason he would not be popular among girls is not because he’s a nerd, but because he’s an asshole. He calls him a great entrepreneur and a visionary.
“I wanted to say to Mark Zuckerberg, if you’re watching tonight, Rooney Mara’s character makes a prediction at the beginning of the movie, she was wrong. You turned out to be a great entrepreneur, a visionary and an altruist.”
