New beta document says gestures not to be a part of the final release.
Apple yesterday released the second beta of iOS 4.3 to developers. The first beta was released only one week ago.
iOS 4.3 Beta 2 carries build number 8F5153d, up from previous 8F5148b, and is available for the iPad, iPhone 4, and iPhone 3GS, third and fourth generation iPod Touch, as well as Apple TV.
As usual, Apple has not released a changelog for the update, though the first beta added support for multi-finger gestures, WiFi hotspot functionality, third party video streaming for Apple TV, and a new option for the iPad’s side switch.
According to 9to5Mac, the documentation accompanying the beta clarifies that that the multi-touch gestures will not be a part of the final build and are simply being included to gather developer feedback.
“This feature will not be enabled in iOS 4.3 for customers, but we are providing this preview to gather input on how these gestures work with your apps.”
Guess they are saving that up for iPad 2.
