A secure way to access your webmail in one place.
Let me be honest: iPhone’s mail application isn’t all that great. Sure, it does the job but more often than not, accessing the webmail interface of your email provider becomes necessary to get things rolling.
However, the browser’s tool bars, clunky performance and unintuitive interface may cause even more confusion and frustration than using the mail app. Thankfully, like most iPhone’s shortcomings, there is an app for that. Better Webmail by Andrew Grant address our little problem by bunching up all our webmail in a clutter-free interface that is simple to use and quick to navigate.
Better Webmail allows you to add Gmail, Yahoo!, Hotmail and Aol accounts. Setting up an account is a no-brainer – just click ‘Add Account’, enter your account’s name and done. You won’t be asked for the username or password, rather you will be redirected to the email provider’s webpage were you must login as usual, like a browser but built-in inside the app. The app remembers login information for individual accounts, so despite having browser behavioral tendency, it will never overlap login information between two accounts from an email provider.
The app also allows to set a passcode for every account, effectively keeping prying eyes from accessing your email.
Better Webmail’s only drawback is that it supports only four email service providers off the bat, but considering they are the most popular ones that’s pretty okay, especially since the app allows you to add other email providers as well as long as they have a functional mobile interface.
Better Webmail cost $1.99 on the App Store and is a nifty little app that manages all your webmails in one place while providing security from curious fingers.
