Motorola trademark-spams ‘Xoom’ name

Could this be the name of Motorola’s upcoming Android tablet?


Pocketnow has an unearthed an unusual trademark spamming by Motorola for the name ‘Xoom’. It is now believed that it could be what the anticipated Android-based tablet from Motorola will be called.

According to the site, the name will be protected in the US, Canada, the EU, Australia, New Zealand, and an application is pending in Taiwan.

The MotoPad Xoom, if it’s called that, is rumored to run of Google’s new Android 3.0 ‘Honeycomb’ OS, which is specifically designed for tablet and slate for factors.
