Dell Streak 2 coming soon?

A ‘mobile internet device’ from Dell gets WiFi certification.

With reasonable success with their super-sized smartphone, Dell may be looking to a sequel to the Dell Streak.

Pocketnow has uncovered that a device, a ‘mobile internet device’ from Dell has passed through the WiFi certification process by the WiFi Alliance (the body who ensures proper WiFi support in devices). Why do we think it’s Dell Streak 2? Well, the model number on the uncovered device is M02M, a number above the Streak’s M01M.

Little is known about Dell Streak 2 – it’s not even announced – except that the device will support WiFi b/g/n. But we are sure that will change once CES 2011 kick starts on Jan 4.

Pocketnow speculates that the device also could be the 7″ Dell Looking Glass tablet the company has been prepping for long. However, the WiFi certification is for a “smartphone”, making a Streak sequel a more likely candidate.
