Not yet exciting, though.
How would a Windows Phone 7 player stack up against a Windows PC player? A new game available for both the platforms shows a little peek into a very possible future.
Now, before you go crazy thinking it’s an fast paced shooter or an adrenaline filled adventure game (and no, it’s even a sports game, imagine that!), it’s way more simple than that, and probably far less exciting. It’s Chess, as in ‘Games Chest: Logic Games’ (chess is not a sport, you ‘sit’ on wooden chairs, for Christ sake!).
The game costs $2.99 and allows cross-platform matches between a Windows Phone 7 player and a Windows PC player. Sure, chess is an extremely simple game to cross-platform but it could be a cornerstone to much bigger things to come. Though it’s hard to imagine how one would play a shooter considering how annoyingly hard it is to play one on a touch screen.
