Press release:
BenQ, leading digital lifestyle provider and winner of the 2010 Red Dot Award, has launched its new digital camera lineup to the Middle East. The E1460 and T1460 High Dynamic Range II cameras feature 14 megapixels high resolution, 4XW optical zoom lens, 720p HD movie recording capabilities and BenQ’s upgraded HDR II image enhancement technology.

Manish Bakshi, General Manager of BenQ for the Middle East and Africa, said, “The E1460 and T1460 are the perfect gifts for first time camera owners particularly the younger generation as they have been designed to be very user-friendly in addition to being economical and stylish. Equipped with intuitive functions like quick delete, easy-search and a thumbnail touch bar the E1460 and T1460 are ideal for young users looking to enhance their photography skills.”

Both digital cameras are equipped with BenQ’s HDR II image enhancement technology that is designed to produce an overall well-exposed image even when lighting conditions are not ideal. BenQ’s HDR II image enhancement technology allows a greater dynamic range between the lightest and darkest areas of the image and is the perfect tool to overcome high contrast lighting condition challenges.

The most outstanding features of BenQ’s new E1460 and T1460 are its array of creative functions that allows users to transform ordinary images into creative art. The LOMO effect enable users to add LOMO style effects to their photographs – darkened-corners, off-kilter exposure and over-saturated colors.

The Fisheye lens adds an element of fun and provides a wide-angle hemispherical view of the photographic subject which results in the production of quirky, creative images. The Color Accent effect enables users to choose a specific color to highlight in the image turning the rest of the picture to black and white.

Both the E1460 and T1460 are equipped with 41MB internal memory and support 4GB SD compatible / 32GB SDHC card for expandable storage.

The E1460 comes in Forest Green and Shiny Silver; the T1460 comes in Passionate Red. Both cameras will be available at all major retail outlets across the Middle East from January 2011.

BenQ’s range of digital cameras and camcorders are in demand this festive season, providing the perfect gift solution at a variety of attractive price points.

BenQ’s C1450, C1250 and E1280 digital camera lineup are packed with a host of intuitive features such as smart scene detection mode, beauty enhancer mode and a pre-composition function. With 12 megapixels, a powerful 3x optical zoom and a bright 2.7 inch LCD screen BenQ’s stylish range of cameras will enable customers to capture group images of family and friends this festive season in vivid detail.

For those looking to capture more than just images BenQ’s Digital M1 camcorder is the cost-effective and high-quality solution. With a touch AF lock and pre-recording function BenQ’s M1 camcorder ensures optimum picture quality at all times even when subjects are moving.
