2010: five surprises and disappointments

Five products that excited us and five that didn’t.


I wasn’t too impressed when Steve Jobs announced the iPad earlier this year but I have been proven wrong. The iPad continues to amaze, thanks to the applications being developed for it. The almost 10” screen provides an excellent size to view videos and browse the web while the speedy A4 processor keeps the interface fluid.

The Galaxy Tab sadly did not live up to my expectations. I had high hopes for this 7” Android based tablet but after playing with it for a while, I was left disappointed. The 7” screen looks too small compared to the iPad and it’s OS 2.2 is, as Google says, not meant for tablets.
