When auto-correct misbehaves

Anyone who has owned an iPhone can testify to its sometimes not-so-brilliant auto-correct feature. You mean to type something but the iPhone decides to change it to something else. For example, I once wanted to write the colour maroon but missed out on one of the o’s and the iPhone conveniently changed it to moron. Luckily, the outcome wasn’t as embarrassing as it has been for some people.
