Samsung hopes to make it 1 million by the end of the year.
With the tablet market abuzz with new models and new technology from most major companies, Samsung’s Galaxy Tab stood out as the biggest competitor to the market-dominant Apple iPad. Today, the South Korean company told a local newspaper The Koera Herald, that they have sold more than 600,000 units worldwide.
The company was also quoted saying that the tablet managed to sell 30,000 units in Koera alone, although no other region specific stats were disclosed.
Samsung Galaxy Tab received favorable reviews when it was released back in September. You can check out our review of the 7-inch tablet PC here. The Galaxy Tab features 512MB RAM, 16GB or 32GB flash storage capacity, a front facing camera, 3MP camera with LED flash, running on a snappy 1GHz processor.
Samsung now hopes to make to the 1million mark, and possibly chip away at some of the Apple pie.
