Data plans for your postpaid number.

If you wanted iPhone-esque data plans sans the need to purchase the smartphone, Etisalat has expanded its postpaid offer in the form of MyPlan – a customizable rental program that provides a set number of local and international mins, SMS, and data package for a specific price.

There are four such packages: Basic, Plus, Extra and Ultra.

While Basic only provides local or international mins, the rest of the three rentals include both local and international mins, SMS and a small data package plan:

Each rentals are customizable with addons which allows you to add mins, SMS or get extra data:

So if you are a user of Etisalat’s 3G plan, instead of paying AED 145 for 1GB, you can purchase the Basic Local plan for AED 29 and add-in the 1GB data plan for AED 100 equaling to AED 129, which is not only lower in price but also includes 100 local mins; you can also throw in a AED 15 for 100 SMS which would still be lower than Etisalat’s normal 3G plan.

MyPlan is also available paired with the iPhone 4, Blackberries (Torch, Bold 9700), Sony Ericssons (X10 Mini Pro, Vivaz) and Samsung (Galaxy S, Galaxy Tab) smartphones.

Actually as usual you guys do not put out the complete info for your readers, I advice you put a little extra bit of effort and some more digging before posting or rather re-posting information. Firstly you cannot actually upgrade the Basic Local plan for AED 29 with 1GB add-on you need to have one of the plus, extra or ultra plans. Secondly this seems to be only a gimmick from Etisalat, 100 minutes * .30 = 30.00 AED so technically you save 1 dh right? proabably NOT because you normal would get a 5-10% extra credit when you re-charge your wasel account online I understand this is for a postpaid account but a lot of the wasel users are looking into this conversion. Sorry just trying to be informative, hope my info is concise and accurate.

Are you sure that that 1GB Add-On can be used with the Local Basic Plan?
