Nokia’s VP: Using Android is like peeing in your pants for warmth

That’s why Nokia won’t ever use Android. Apparently.

Nokia VP of mobiles thinks companies using Google Android for their smartphone are making a big mistake. Like peeing in their pants kind of mistake.

Anssi Vanjoki, Nokia VP of mobiles, was quoted by Financial Times saying that using Android is only a short-term solution that will lead to bigger troubles down the line. Troubles like ‘permanently low profitability’ as consumers starts to blur the line between different Android phones as they all look and function the same way. To exemplify, Mr. Anssi went all colorful on us and said manufacturers who go the Android route are no better than those who “pee in their pants” for warmth in the winter.

We are not sure if we agree, though there is a bit of truth to it, however. HTC, on the other hand, would like to have a word or two with Nokia on this, I am sure.

I am sorry to comment against Nokia at least Android is open source and many players and expertise to contribute to a greater mobile market and customer base.

Not only HTC, Motorolla is a very fierce competitor in the android market.
Nokia is having its last breaths in 3g race now with windows mobile introduced which is far better than their Symbian….
    Good luck VanJOKEi :P
