Carries out hearses for iPhone and Blackberry.

Microsoft employees recently celebrated the ‘release to manufacturing’ of Windows Phone 7. It was no ordinary beer-spilling, cake-hogging celebration though, workers carried fake hearses of iPhone and Blackberry marking it as the burial of the competition as tiny WP7 phones are being made.

As you can see from the gallery below, employees were dressed up in funky Windows branded dresses carrying out fake coffins of iPhones and Blackberries. A banner on a car said, “Windows Phone 7 OS Platform – Buries the Competition’. That’s one cheeky way of getting the message across!

Windows Phone 7 is Microsoft ‘come-back’ into the smartphone market with a revamped, re-energized OS platform. While WP7 devices are already into production, Microsoft plans to unveil an official release date at an open house event on October 11 in NYC.
